Presented as a feverish love dream, 1001 Nights, based on Amano’s book of artwork, is the inaugural performance of the groundbreaking Filmharmonic series, which pairs new orchestral compositions by film composers with short films created by A‑list directors. 1001 Nights is the series’ sole animated work, and the original plan called for it to be entirely computer‑animated.
