Description
An old man attempts to create a girl from his memories, gradually building a doll that acquires a physical body made of mechanical parts. He fashions her as a pure creature, yet she rejects her identity. In a dramatic moment, the doll self‑destructs, proclaiming, “This is not Me!” This first‑year work, completed in 2010 by Saya Fukase at the Graduate School of Film and New Media, Department of Animation, Tokyo University of the Arts.
