Description
Anime Tenchou is a promotional character created by Shimamoto Kazuhiko for Japan’s large anime retailer Animate. The character was later adapted into a manga, a weekly radio drama, and an OVA produced by GAINAX under the direction of Hideaki Anno. The story centers on Anizawa Meito, a passionate and fiery store manager who loves animation merchandise. He inherits the dying wish of his former manager, who was attacked by a rival store, and takes over the newly opened specialty store for animation goods at Animate. Anizawa’s trademark is his scarlet “store manager visor.”
