Description

In the early 1930s, Chicago’s legendary trans‑continental train, the Flying Pussyfoot, begins its perilous journey, leaving a trail of blood across the country. Meanwhile in New York, ambitious scientist Szilard and his reluctant assistant Ennis scour the city for missing bottles of an immortality elixir, while a brutal war between rival mafia groups escalates. Far earlier, aboard the ship Advena Avis in 1711, alchemists confront the true cost of immortality. Based on the award‑winning light novels, Baccano! interweaves these seemingly unrelated events, spanning different times and places, into a single narrative about alchemy, survival, and the quest for eternal life. The unlikely pair of would‑be thieves, Isaac and Miria, act as a nexus, drawing together a cast of characters each driven by hidden ambitions and agendas, forging lifelong bonds and shaping the fate of everyone involved.
