Description
During World War II, Dr. Asagumo is invited to Nazi Germany, where Hitler asks him to collaborate on a new weapon called the Big X. Worried about its potential impact, Dr. Asagumo deliberately delays progress and conspires with his fellow researcher, the scheming Dr. Engel. Just before Germany’s defeat by the Allies, he implants a card containing the secret of the Big X into his son Shigeru, then is shot to death by German forces. Twenty years later, the card is recovered from Shigeru’s body; he is now living in Tokyo.
