The Japanese government commissioned a 22‑minute anime titled “Bokura no Saibanin Monogatari” (Our Jury Story) to educate citizens about Japan’s re‑introduction of the jury system. In July, the country will hold jury trials for the first time in six decades, so most people have never served on a jury. The short uses the story of a high‑school boy’s one‑sided infatuation with a classmate as an unconventional segue to explain the jury process.
