Description
Capeta, whose real name is Taira Kappeita, is a fourth‑grade boy who lost his mother at a very young age. He pretends to be tough around his father, yet inside he feels lonely. One day his father brings home discarded parts from his workplace and builds a racing cart. They take the cart to a circuit, but its frame is bent and it barely runs straight. Using his skill, Capeta manages to drive it, and soon he can keep pace with the fastest cart, nearly overtaking it. The driver of that cart is Minamoto Naomoi, the champion of the East Japan Junior Cart series. When Minamoto’s mother, Nanako, sees Capeta’s talent, she encourages him to enter the official race.
