Description
The series follows ordinary students rather than typical heroes as it chronicles the development of the Sumiya 2 Junior High School baseball team in downtown Tokyo. Takao Taniguchi, previously a reserve on the second team of Aoba Gakuin, a prestigious baseball school, transfers to Sumiya 2 and is elected captain of the club. Through persistent training, the squad aims to compete in the regional preliminaries, ultimately facing their former alma mater, Aoba Gakuin.
