Description
Giulio secretly takes on his father’s second job by addressing envelopes late at night, hoping to ease his father’s burden. However, his struggle to stay awake during the day frustrates his family and his teacher, and his grades suffer. His father, overwhelmed by Giulio’s lowered grades and the strain of overwork, grows resentful. Determined that his father’s health matters more than his own pride, Giulio continues the nighttime work, even though he knows it may deepen his father’s anger. One night, the family cat knocks over the address book, startling Giulio’s father awake. The revelation that Giulio has been working all this time brings tears to his father’s eyes.
