Clannad

Tomoya is a bitter third‑year high school student whose mother died, driving his father into alcoholism and gambling. Since that loss, Tomoya has become a delinquent and keeps his distance from his father. While walking to school, he encounters Nagisa Furukawa, a year older student who is repeating the grade because of illness. Nagisa is isolated, as most of her former friends have moved on. The two begin spending time together, and over time Tomoya’s life starts to shift in a new direction.
