Climber
CLIMBERDescription
Climber is a graduate work from 2010 by Akifumi Nonaka, Tokyo University of the Arts, Graduate School of Film and New Media, Department of Animation. The short film depicts a stone pillar that stretches endlessly upward, and climbers continuously ascend it, each spending time on the climb. The climbers serve as symbols of accumulation. Climber earned several accolades, including the Silver Blade Prize at the 2010 Digital Creators Competition, the 2010 16th Campus Genius Award, the 2011 Entertainment Prize at the Miyagi, Sendai Animation Grand Prix (Students Department), the Award for Excellence at the 2011 14th CHOFU Short Film Competition, the Incentive Award at the 2011 Creative Market Tokyo Award, and the Jury’s Special Award.
