Cyborg 009: The Cyborg Soldier follows nine experimental cyborgs, eight male and one female, who are captured by the nefarious terrorist organization Black Ghost. With the help of a scientist, the cyborgs rebel against their creators. In response, Black Ghost dispatches additional cyborgs to eliminate the original nine, wreaking havoc worldwide. The series consists of 48 TV episodes, followed by a three‑episode OVA titled “GOD'S WAR.” An extra recap episode aired between episodes 47 and 49, while the “GOD'S WAR: Prologue” bonus arc was produced as a teaser for the unwritten final chapter and is not part of the main continuity.
