Description
The Di Gi Charat Natsuyasumi Special is a four‑episode spin‑off set in America that aired from August 2 to August 3 2001, nearly a year after the original series. It introduces Rodoyan, a young American otaku, and follows Dejiko’s adventures across the United States. In Episode 1, “Dejiko in America 1,” and Episode 2, “Dejiko in America 2,” Puchiko attempts to exit a bus but cannot reach the signal button; the driver, who resembles Abarenbou, keeps accelerating until the bus reaches America. Shortly afterward, Dejiko receives a letter from Rod Young, an American boy and enthusiastic fan, who invites her to visit and pick up Puchiko, who has been staying with him.
