Description
Entotsuya Peroo is an anti‑war tale about the chimney sweep Peroo, who led his country to victory by employing the “Eggs from Soldiers.” Upon his triumphant return to his hometown, he finds the streets lined with rubble, corpses, and new grave markers. The film consists of roughly 20,000 frames of shadow‑puppet animation created independently by Doeisha, a collective of ten amateurs, most of whom are students from Doshisha University.
