Suzuko’s ordinary afternoon takes a sudden turn when a massive gas explosion engulfs her. Instead of perishing, she awakens roughly five hundred years earlier, in the midst of Japan’s Civil War era. There, a handsome, somewhat overbearing young man saves her from a fate worse than death, and she learns to navigate the strange world she now inhabits. As Suzuko adapts to this unfamiliar time, she uncovers pieces of her mysterious, fragmented past. When clues begin to align, the village faces an attack, forcing her to travel through time once more, this time back to the present.
