Description
Derived from Toru Tsunemitsu’s short story “Ghost Toilet” in his urban‑myth anthology *School Ghost Stories*, the tale was first adapted into the 1993 children’s book *Hanako in the Toilet: Scary Stories of Your School*. Various artists later turned it into the manga series *Here Comes Hanako*, and most of those same creators wrote the anime adaptation. The anime aired as a segment of the TV series *Ponkikki Kids*, with episodes introduced by Hanako herself, including “The Haunted Cinema” and “The Cursed Promise Ring.”
