Description
Genki Horiguchi was five when he lost his mother, and he was raised solely by his father, professional boxer Shark Horiguchi. After his career fell apart, Shark became a traveling fighter. Despite this, Genki believed his father was strong and dreamed of becoming a champion like him. Following his father's death, Genki was adopted by his grandparents, who disapproved of boxing. Determined, he continued training in secret. Along the way he met people such as Teacher Ashikiwa, who resembled his mother, and Mishima, a high‑school boxing champion, and he forged his path toward the ring.
