Description

This 2007 adaptation retells the classic story of *Gegege no Kitarō*. In the series, Kitarō is a boy who lives in the Gegege Forest and Cemetery, a region teeming with yokai. He shares the forest with his mostly dead father, whose only surviving part is his eye, as well as with Sunakake Babaa, Neko Musume, and Konaki Jiji. A notable difference in this incarnation of Kitarō compared to previous versions is his brown hair, replacing the usual gray‑silver hue.
