Description
Drawing on the reticulated architecture of a modern skyscraper and the deafening din of city traffic, Shimamura abstracts the idea of urban alienation. He moves from optical art into spatial constructions reminiscent of Escher’s scales, while the soundtrack blends electronic music with ambient everyday sounds, including the clatter of a working photocopier.
