This work served as the ninth special animated feature for Tezuka Production’s 24‑hour television program, with Tezuka Production handling the original story, screenplay, and direction. Tezuka Osamu crafts a love story set during humanity’s expansion into space at the end of the 21st century, employing an omnibus structure reminiscent of Bradbury’s *Martian Chronicle*. The plot echoes that of *Phoenix: Nostalgia*: after marriage, a woman leaves Earth and is left behind in space when her husband suddenly dies of a cosmic disease, a motif also present in *The Phoenix*. This time, her friends on Earth travel into space to rescue the woman who had once been the ideal of everyone. In this special animated piece, the narrative intertwines romance, sacrifice, and the challenges of space exploration.
