Description
In the 21st century, Earth, the Galaxy Express 999 is preparing to depart for the Great Andromeda. While Maetel and Tetsuro visit a museum, a mysterious girl named Jula suddenly appears before them. Jula predicts the fall of the human race and then disappears into outer space. Determined to follow her, Maetel and Tetsuro board the 999. Tetsuro later finds Jula on asteroid Itokawa, a body previously explored by the Hayabusa probe. Jula vanishes again, but her spacecraft crashes into another asteroid and descends toward Jupiter. Can Tetsuro rescue her? What does Jula mean by the “fall of the human race”? Spanning space and time, this saga follows the 999 as it travels through our solar system’s celestial bodies.
