Description
TV Asahi will premiere the television anime adaptation of Tetsu Adachi’s manga *Baka‑Kyoudai* (Idiotic Siblings) under the title *Gokyoudai Monogatari* (Sibling Stories) on October 10. The original manga has been published irregularly in Kodansha’s *Young Magazine* since 1999 and follows a carefree sister and her twin brother who navigate life in Tokyo’s lower‑class neighborhoods, sharing heart‑warming encounters with the local people. The series received an Excellence Award at the 7th Cultural Media Arts Festival in 2003. In the anime, Yuki Matsuoka voices the sister Onei Jinushi, Yumiko Kobayashi portrays their twin brother Junichirō Jinushi, and Sayaka Ohara plays the local restaurant waitress.
