Gu‑Gu Ganmo follows the classic slice‑of‑life formula of titles like *Doraemon* and *Obake no Q‑Taro*. An alien creature named Ganmo, who resembles a chicken wearing sneakers, appears when a large, odd‑looking egg hatches in the Tsukuda household. Ganmo, who speaks like a human, becomes the adopted son of the Tsukuda family and lives with Tsukune Tsukuda and his brother Hapeita. Determined not to be a freeloader, he takes on household chores and errands, but his attempts often backfire, creating more confusion than help. The comedy escalates when a new neighbor, a charming girl, moves in next door. She owns a foppish pet called Deja‑vu, a strange animal with a poisonous tongue that constantly teases Ganmo. As the series progresses, Ganmo’s mishaps become ever more chaotic, turning everyday life into a whirlwind of comedic mischief.
