Haiyoru! Nyaruani is a series of animated Flash shorts based on the light novel series Haiyore! Nyaruko-san. The shorts feature Nyarlko, an anthropomorphized female incarnation of Nyarlathotep from the Cthulhu Mythos, who repeatedly encounters the normal human boy Mahiro. Mahiro constantly scolds Nyarlko for her outrageous and often absurd behavior. In one episode, Nyarlko is drawing a cover design for a body pillow, only to discover that the pillow’s subject is a half-dressed Mahiro in an apparently intimate scene with her. Naturally, Mahiro reacts by stabbing Nyarlko’s hand with a fork and threatening to kill her if she releases the pillow design. Other episodes present various gags and occasionally feature Cthuko, an anthropomorphized female counterpart of Cthulhu.
