Description
Yukimura Chizuru, the daughter of a doctor who works in Edo, discovers that her father has left the city to volunteer as a doctor in Kyoto, taking no child with him. Fearing that they will lose contact, she decides to follow him to Kyoto. On her journey, Chizuru is attacked by a group of criminals and witnesses a clash between an oni and the Shinsengumi. The Shinsengumi rescue her and detain her; when they learn that she is the daughter of the doctor they are seeking, they agree to protect her and help her find her father. While staying with the Shinsengumi, Chizuru becomes involved in many further events.
