Description
A paper sliding door (fusuma) created by woodblock print artist Shikou Munakata depicts the Hannya Shingyo, the Prajna‑paramita Hrdaya Sutram. Munakata composed the sutra in one continuous effort, without any rough drafts or sketches, resulting in a powerful and compelling work. Ever since I first saw this fusuma, I have had a special interest in the Hannya Shingyo.
