On November 22, 2010, ten missiles struck Japan in an unprecedented terrorist attack later dubbed “Careless Monday.” The strike left no visible casualties and was quickly forgotten by most. Three months later, Saki Morimi, a young woman on a graduation trip to the United States, finds herself in trouble outside the White House in Washington, D.C. She is rescued by a stranger who introduces himself as Akira Takizawa. Akira is an enigmatic figure: he appears to have amnesia, is nearly naked except for a gun in one hand and a mobile phone in the other.
