Description
Legend says that two demons, a Scorpion spirit and a Snake spirit, were imprisoned in the Calabash Mountains. One day, a pangolin accidentally carved a hole into the slope, releasing the spirits from their cave and wreaking havoc on the nearby residents. The pangolin hurried to an old man and explained that only by cultivating calabashes in seven colors could the spirits be defeated. The old man immediately began growing seven calabashes, each a different hue of the rainbow: red, orange, yellow, green, cyan, blue, and purple.
