Description
Hyakka Zukan is a short film by Koji Yamamura. It features parallel word sequences in English and Japanese that progress alphabetically from A to Z and from A to Nn in the Japanese syllabary, with each new word beginning with the last syllable of the preceding one, examples include Ant – Take off – F… and Ari – Ririku – Ku…. As the words evolve, accompanying images transform through a variety of animation techniques, forming a pictorial encyclopedia of those methods.
