The series follows the adventures of Zoum, a white dolphin, and his companions, two children who live with their sailor uncle. The cast also includes several animals: a mynah bird that understands dolphin speech as well as the languages of other animals and the island’s humans, serving as a translator; a koala; and a sloth. Throughout their journeys, Zoum encounters a beautiful female dolphin, known as Za‑za‑zoom in the English version, and together they have a baby.
