Ta‑chan is the king of the jungle, abandoned as a baby in the savanna and raised by a chimpanzee named Etekichi. He is married to Jane, a former top model from New York whose appearance has changed over time. Together with his disciple Pedro and the Chinese martial arts master Ryo, Ta‑chan battles poachers to protect wildlife. The anime, adapted from the manga of the same title, begins as a comedic parody of Tarzan; while the early episodes are light‑hearted, the later ones shift toward a more serious tone.
