Hirasawa Yui is a young, carefree girl entering high school, and her imagination is instantly captured when she spots a poster advertising the “Light Music Club.” Prompted by her spontaneity, she signs up without hesitation. However, Yui faces a problem: she cannot play any instrument. When she goes to the clubroom to explain this, she is greeted by the current members, Ritsu, Mio, and Tsumugi. Though disappointed by Yui’s lack of musical know‑how, they encourage her to stay in order to prevent the club’s disbandment. After playing Yui a short piece that rekindles her enthusiasm, they succeed in keeping her as their new guitarist. Balancing school and homework, Yui begins to learn the guitar, setting the stage for the lighthearted adventures of the club.
