Description
Stop‑motion comedy‑drama set in the Meiji era, featuring a society of sugar‑cube people. The story centers on the father, Kakuza, who is emotionally volatile, especially when confronted with his 37‑year‑old daughter Touko’s new fiancé who seeks his blessing. Kakuza fears losing his daughter, even though his late wife had begged that she be a happy bride. The series was released irregularly, and its title was changed to Kakugen! Kakuza Tousan toward the end of its run.
