Description
Aihara’s early experimental short, Karma (カルマ, 1977), centers on water as its primary motif. Hand‑drawn and seemingly shot on 16mm with a blue filter, the film opens with tiny specks drifting in and out like snow flurries. As the image develops, these specks gradually enlarge into bubbles, which then merge into larger rivulets of water flowing across a transparent surface.
