Demetan comes from a very poor family and is unable to attend school in his woodland pond community. He befriends Ranatan, a gentle and lovely frog girl who is the daughter of the pond’s wealthy ruler. Naturally, her father disapproves of their relationship and tries to break it apart. Nevertheless, Demetan and Ranatan remain courageous and confident, living their own lives while guiding the heartless leopard frog toward justice and generosity. Over time, the pond community responds to their sincerity and joins them in a march toward a bright future.
