Description
In 2029, the world has become borderless thanks to the internet; augmented humans inhabit virtual environments while law‑enforcement agents can download themselves into super‑powered, crime‑busting mecha. The ultimate secret agent of the future is non‑human, lacking a physical body, and can freely traverse the global information highways, hacking and manipulating systems as needed. Ghost in the Shell 2.0 is a remastered edition of the 1995 film created to commemorate the 2008 release of The Sky Crawlers. For Version 2.0, the animation was entirely re‑produced using cutting‑edge technology such as 3D‑CGI, the soundtrack was remastered, and all voices were re‑recorded.
