Kyuumei Senshi Nanosaver is the third entry in the Virtual Trilogy, blending anime sequences with live‑action footage. Set at the dawn of the 22nd century, society has advanced so rapidly that even children can become fully qualified doctors, a feat that previously required two and a half decades of training. Nanomachines are now commonplace tools in the fight against disease. The story follows Keita, a child doctor who works as a Nanosaver, entering the body through a virtual medical station (VMS) to perform life‑saving procedures in a simulated environment. As more patients are brought in, Keita uncovers a series of mysterious clues tied to each case. In the second half of the series, a small Ethanarian alien and the overarching galactic federation are introduced, adding new layers to the narrative.
