Ten years later, Goro’s pitching career is halted by a serious injury. Determined to return to the sport, he begins training as a fielder. His choices unsettle the family, especially his daughter Izumi, who lacks insight into her father’s motives and cannot understand his prolonged absences. Goro is willing to do whatever it takes to rejoin the game, driven by his desire to give his children the one gift he can offer them: baseball.
