Description
Spring arrives, and the animals emerge from hibernation. The rabbits play jump rope, while the polar bear and the raccoon dog play leapfrog. A frog and a monkey race on a car and a bicycle. School starts, and the monkey teaches arithmetic, though the pig is fast asleep. The animals then begin exercising in the schoolyard. Birds sing in the trees. An old goat goes to the mountain to clear land, while an old black cat washes clothes by the river. She finds a peach floating down the river, takes it out of the water expecting to find Momotaro, only to discover an ogre inside. The carefree polar bear heads to the pond to fish. In the pond, a small fish is swallowed by a larger fish, which is then swallowed by an even larger fish...
