Description
John is a cheerful, energetic boy who lives in a small coal‑mining town in England. One day he finds a small dog lost among a flock of sheep, takes the puppy home, and names her Lassie. The two become close friends, almost like siblings. Lassie is a lovely, intelligent dog, and the townspeople adore her. Their happy life, however, is short-lived. The coal‑mine owner abruptly shuts down the company because there is no more coal left.
