Kaito Kid strikes again in the eighth annual Detective Conan movie. An actress hires Kogoro Mouri to guard a precious jewel she owns, but Kaito Kid vows to steal it. On the day of the heist, Kid disguises himself as Shinichi Kudo and challenges Conan in a game of wits before slipping away. Grateful for their help, the actress invites Kogoro, his family, and friends to Sapporo, but a larger plot and a looming emergency soon threaten to erupt high above the clouds aboard their airplane.
