Description
Mezame no Hakobune, also known as Open Your Mind, chronicles the extraterrestrial origins of life. The story opens with life arriving from outer space as six deities during the Intermission act. These beings then evolve into water in the Sho‑ho segment, ascend to the air in Hyakkin, and finally settle on the ground in Ku‑nu. Each creature governs one of the six elements of the godai philosophy, Earth, Water, Fire, Wind (kaze in the Hyakkin chant), Sky, and Consciousness, referred to as “Awakening” in the film’s title.
