Nat-chan no Akai Tebukuro

Based on a book by Nishino Ayako, this anime tells the story of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima. Elementary‑schooler Nat‑chan has moved to Hiroshima and knits red gloves for her male friend, Shun‑chan. When the bomb detonates, Nat‑chan is killed. Years later, as an adult, Shun‑chan reunites with the remnants of Nat‑chan in the form of a nuclear shadow, an outline left where her body was vaporized.
