Description
Just before starting at Seishuu High School, track star Katsuya Niimi and judo champion Susumu Karasawa see a girl crying after the school’s baseball team loses a game. Determined to bring a smile to her face, the two decide to join the team and help it improve. The girl is Yuri Nakao, the daughter of the baseball coach, and the boys learn that the team will be shut down unless it starts winning. Together with pitcher Eiji Kurahashi, Niimi and Karasawa discover what it means to be one of nine players on a squad as they grow through high school and work toward reaching Kōshien.
