Ninkuu

During the war, the Ninku, an elite group of warriors, battled the Imperial Army and nearly annihilated it. Ultimately, however, the Ninku were defeated and shattered. In the aftermath, the Imperial Army positioned itself as the protector of the populace through propaganda, convincing the people that the Ninku were the villains who had started the conflict. Fusuke, who appears childlike yet is the former captain of the first Ninku division, learns that his mother was taken during the war. After the Ninku’s defeat, he sets out to find her. On his quest he encounters Aicho and Touji, both former Ninku captains, and together they oppose the Imperial Army that seeks to eliminate the last surviving Ninkus.
