Nintama Rantarou follows Rantarou, Shinbei, and Kirimaru, first‑grade ninja apprentices at the Ninja Gakuen, where they are called “Nintamas” (a blend of “ninja” and “tama,” meaning egg). While they are expected to master all aspects of ninja training, the trio is more fascinated by money, food, and play. Each episode presents two short segments within a 30‑minute block, depicting the everyday adventures of the heroes. The cast also features their teachers, Doi‑sensei and the cross‑dressing Yamada‑sensei, other Nintama kunoichi, the villainous Dokutake ninjas, and even the family members of the main characters.
