In 1968, a phantom moon appears over the world. Young Nakajo Taku accompanies his father on an important business trip, where he meets two supernatural humans, Louis Boudre and David Flight. From them, Taku learns telekinesis. Soon after, the trio is seized by a mysterious man and transported 500 million years into the past to the moon. There, Taku encounters Price Noman and joins the Noman Rangers to halt an intergalactic war between humans and aliens. The pilot, filmed partially in color, runs exactly 12 minutes and 20 seconds. Its serialization was never realized, likely due to financial constraints. A contemporaneous pilot, Zero Man, was cancelled early in production because Mushi Pro struggled to fund the show. The Noman pilot was nearly three times longer than the Zero Man pilot, underscoring the studio’s financial challenges.
