Goro Kumagaya is a tall, seasoned goalkeeper from middle school who aspired to join Yokonan High School, renowned for its elite football program. After a failed attempt, an accident lands him at the lowly‑ranked Kawasaki High School, directly opposite Yokonan. There he meets skillful teammates Shingo, Hideki, and Kazuhito Oda, and together they form the Kawasaki football club. The team takes on Yokonan and other schools, striving to rise to championship status. Every setback becomes a chance to improve, leading to the discovery of Goro’s natural talent as an ace striker.
