Yasuda Ippei (played by Shonozaki Ken) is the son of Yasuda Seijiro (Osugi Ren), the head of the Yasuda Group, Japan’s largest business conglomerate. Although he comes from a distinguished family, Ippei is universally liked and has no disagreeable traits. He is exceptionally academically talented, completing the entire high school curriculum in just two years and earning a place in Tokyo University’s Faculty of Law without preparing for the entrance exams. Seeking to establish his own concept of justice, Ippei leaves his position as heir to the Yasuda Group and enrolls in the police academy. He becomes a detective at the Kyobashi Police Precinct, where he bravely confronts great evil.
