Based on the popular “Otoko wa Tsurai yo” film series directed by Yōji Yamada, this anime follows the itinerant salesman Kuruma Torajirō, known affectionately as Tora‑san. With nothing more than a small suitcase, his clothes, and a modest amount of pocket money, he travels from town to town selling goods and encountering the people and situations that make his journey both charming and poignant.
